Campaigns contain all information related to an ad campaign including advertisers, required plays or impressions, ad priority, start and end dates, media files, and flight information. New campaigns can be added by users with Account Admin, Market Admin or Order Entry roles. Campaigns are accessed by clicking the Ad Management tab and then the Campaigns sub-tab.
To create a campaign, follow these steps:
- On the Campaigns Dashboard, click Create Campaign. The Create Campaign dialog appears.

In the General section, fill out the fields, which are described below. Fields marked Required cannot be left blank.
Field
Description
Campaign Name
(Required) The name of the campaign, used to identify it on the Campaigns Dashboard and elsewhere.
Priority
The priority for ads included in this campaign (this priority can be overridden on an ad-by-ad basis if you want).
Advertiser
The campaign's advertiser.
Product ID
The ID for the product the campaign is advertising, if applicable.
Product Name
The name of the product the campaign is advertising, if applicable.
Contract ID
The contract ID to be associated with the campaign, if any.
Revenue Model
Select either Flat Rate or Performance.
Note: If you are unsure which type to use, we recommend Performance.
Campaign Playout
Either Standard or Unmanaged Fill.
Note: Unmanaged fill campaigns can only be priorities 4, 5, or 6 and do not required a campaign end date.
In-stream Traffic Type
(Required) Select Plays (ads contain number of plays, or spots, required to be delivered), Impressions (ads contain number of impressions required to be delivered), or Share of Voice (ads contain the percentage of ad impressions required to be delivered).
Note: If you select Plays or Share of Voice, the targeting options are disabled. If you want to enable targeting options, then select Impressions as the in-stream inventory.
Gateway Traffic Type
Select Share of Voice (percentage of ad impressions that are required to be delivered) or Impressions (number of impressions that are required to be delivered).
Status
Select either Active or Inactive. Ads in inactive campaigns are not played.
Start Date
(Required) The date the campaign starts.
Start Time
(Required) The time the campaign starts.
End Date
(Required) The date the campaign ends.
End Time
(Required) The time the campaign ends.
Sales Rep
The campaign's sales rep.
Sales Office
The sales office the rep works out of.
Sales Source
The source of the campaign's sale.
DAAST Ad Category
(Required) The campaign's DAAST ad category.
Best Practice: We strongly recommend using Tier 2 identifiers. For more information, see About DAAST Ad Categories
Compete Code
Select the code to be used to keep competing ads from playing within the no-compete time.
Note: Compete Codes are not required, however, we strongly advise that you use them to prevent similar ads from playing one right after another.
Frequency Capping
Enable to set a Frequency Cap
No-Repeat Override
Set a No-Repeat Override time in minutes.

In the Scheduling section, select a Daypart. Click Add Another Daypart if you need to add another one or click Delete to remove the Daypart.
Note: Some kinds of targeting may be unavailable depending on their settings in the General section.

If you want to use Station Targeting for your campaign, click Enabled in the Station Targeting area and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Select stations from the Available Stations list by clicking them to move them to the Selected Stations list.
- If needed, use the markets, formats, language, and band filter drop-down menus to filter the available stations list, or type the name of the station you are looking for in the search box just above the Available Stations list.

If needed, click stations in the Selected Stations list to remove them. These stations then appear in the Available Stations list again.

If you want to use Geographic Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Geographic Targeting area and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Select the type of geographic area you want to target: Country, Region(equal to US state), DMA, MSA (US), City, Zip Code or Radius.
- Click on the radio button to select a Geo Type.
- You may choose to Include or Exclude areas.
- Select areas by clicking on the area name.

If needed, use the Search box at the top of the drop-down to find specific areas.
Note: You can select areas in all of the geographic area options. So, for example, you could select both the DMA Amarillo, TX and the RMSA Abilene, TX.

If you want to use Device Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Device Targeting section and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.

Click a Source to select it. There are four device source libraries to choose from; Operating System, Browser, Device Category and Device Manufacturer.
Note: If you select more than one Source, the ad will only serve to listeners who match at least one Target for each source. For example, if OS: Windows, Browser: Chrome, and Device Category: Desktop are all selected, the ad will only be served to users running Chrome on a Windows desktop computer. -
Click one or more Targets for that Source.
Note: When multiple Targets are selected, a user only needs to meet one of the selected targets to be served the ad. For example, if you select Browser for Source and Firefox and Chrome for targets, the ad will be served to users with Firefox or Chrome, but not Opera or Edge

Click a Source to select it. There are four device source libraries to choose from; Operating System, Browser, Device Category and Device Manufacturer.
- If you want to use Advanced Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Advanced Targeting area and follow this Guide to Advanced Targeting. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
Note: Advanced Targeting comes with an extra fee. -
If you want to use Demographic Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Demographic Targeting area and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- To target by age, click Age. When the age range buttons appear, click to toggle them between selected (blue) or not selected (gray).

To target by gender, click Gender. When the gender buttons appear, click to toggle them between selected (blue) or not selected (gray).

If you want to use Source Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Source Targeting section and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.

Enter one or more names of sources you want to target, such as v7player or Tunein.

If you want to use Key Value Pair Targeting for this campaign, click Enabled in the Key Value Pair Targeting sections and follow the sub-steps below. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Enter the Key and the Values you want to target. You can add more than one Key and Value pair, or add multiple values to a single key.

- When everything is configured to your liking, click Create Campaign to create the campaign and return to the Campaigns Dashboard, or click Create and Add Ads to go directly to the Campaign's Summary page and add ads.
